Art has a unique ability to make us think about things we usually don’t – like how the people around us shape who we become. And how we shape them.
That’s the starting point for Human Nature – an exhibition I’m opening on 4 September at Dragør Havnegalleri together with Annette Falk Lund.
Two artists. Two very different backgrounds and artistic languages. But a shared curiosity about the same thing: what makes us human. The experiences we carry. The relationships that mark us. The society that surrounds us – and leaves its traces whether we notice it or not.
Art can’t give answers to these questions. But it can make us stop. Look. Feel something unexpected. And maybe ask ourselves something we’ve been avoiding.
That’s what Human Nature is about.
I’ll be sharing more about the specific works and themes in the coming weeks.
